Aaron is an award winning photographer and has won and been short listed for a number of photographic awards. Aaron has exhibited nationally and internationally with solo and group exhibitions. His work has been shown in several International Photographic Festivals. Aaron has completed a number of international Artist-in-Residencies. His work has been published and featured by photographic organisations throughout the world.

Aaron Yeandle predominantly works on long-term historical and social projects. His photographic practice explores the mundane and the everyday. Aaron photographs observe and reflects on communities and places that are often glimpsed but scarcely pondered upon.

Aaron is interested in how realism, romanticism and the imagination can be juxtaposed to create a playful yet ominous narrative, which tells a compelling visual story. His work observes and delves into the complicated relationship of people and place.

During the lockdown, Aaron created a conceptual body of work on COVID- 19. Parts of this project have been exhibited with the New Zealand photography festival in conjunction with Format. Also, in Italy with Creative in Quarantine, the Brighton Photo Fringe, The Southwest Collective, Mass Isolation Finland, FORMAT 21, Head on Festival and The Photopolis Festival. Furthermore being featured with organisations in the US, Australia and throughout Europe.

Aaron is a member of the MAP6 Collective, which is a contemporary and forward-thinking photographic collective of visual and academic artists. 

Aaron’s education includes a BA (Hons) in Photography, MA in Fine Art and a PGCE. He has taught on educational workshops, masterclasses and delivered talks on photography and on his own photographic practice. He has hosted a number of podcast for the Turpentine Galleries podcast and has been featured on numerous radio programs. Furthermore Aaron has is own official stamp collection, featuring the Voice-Vouaie project.
